CIRRO |si-RO| ‘The highest of all clouds, with thin wispy feather-like tails formed by ice crystals.’ 25,000ft above New Zealand’s Southern Alps and the Malborough Sounds lie the ‘cirro’ clouds. Pure water falls from these clouds into the rivers and soils of the Wairau Valley, allowing us to create distinctively fresh, vibrant cool climate wines.
This year we were awarded with double Gold for our 2013 Marlborough Pinot Noir from CWSA, the biggest and most prestigious wine and spirits competition in China.
The wine is immediately appealing on the nose showing grapefruit, nectarine, feijoa and currant aromas with subtle herbaceous notes. The palate delivers excellent fruit purity and intensity, wonderfully supported by fine texture and juicy acidity, leading to a lingering tasty finish. Very approachable and likable
